Birds of Prey Tracking For a $52M Opening

The next DCEU movie, Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn, is only three weeks away and it looks to be tracking for a decent February opening for an R-rated movie.

Deadline reports that Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn is tracking for a $52 million opening in three weeks, but it could go as high as $55 million.

They point out that it’s on the lower end of February openings, but the marketing hasn’t really kicked into gear yet with targeting the people they want to show up to see Harley and the Birds of Prey beat up Black Mask. So the number could go up, and people also need to remember that the movie was made with a pretty low $97 million, so it should make that up without much trouble.
