Following the release of Avengers: Endgame last month, a lot of bogus information about actor’s contracts following what happened in the movie. Those unhappy with what happened to Tony Stark tried to start a bogus rumor that RDJ left his contract due to being mad about the death (that’s not true), while endless Instagram accounts spread a claim that Chris Hemsworth signed on for five more movies. Now we have word from Hemsworth himself about his future as the Lord of Thunder.
Today Variety posted a really good profile on Chris Hemsworth, and he says he doesn’t know if Marvel has plans for Thor in the future but he’s open to coming back:
“I’d still love to do more, to be honest,” he says. “And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go.” Hemsworth pauses to consider another outcome. “But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.”
From the sounds of that, it doesn’t seem that he has signed a new contract yet. Obviously Marvel has plans for Thor with how they left him at the end of Avengers: Endgame, we’ll just have to be patient and see what those really are and not believe whatever random Instagram accounts claim.
