With all of the delays due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, there’s now been one more MCU delay, but it’s not what everyone was expecting. Instead of one of Disney’s MCU movies being pushed back, Sony has moved the Spider-Man sequel.
After being delayed to November 5, 2021, the movie has been pushed back a month to December 17, 2021. This comes after Disney delayed the Avatar sequel from the prime holiday window in 2021, giving Spider-Man the potential $1 billon box office that the Christmas season can easily deliver.
Tom Holland recently said that they’ll finish filming the movie in February, meaning it’s possible we might learn the title soon as filming is about to begin in a few months.
