Today Sony announced more release date shifts due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, and one of them affected another Marvel movie.
Spider-Man 3, which was originally going to open next July, has been delayed to November 5, 2021. That’s the same day that Marvel Studios was releasing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. So due to that Marvel has delayed the Doctor Strange sequel to March 25, 2022.
Right now it’s not known if this is the last release date shift that’ll happen. It’s possible Marvel is expecting theaters to remain closed through the end of the year and they could be shifting everything again; or this could just be Doctor Strange and Spider-Man moving.
