With a lot of Hollwood shutting down over coronavirus fears, Warner Brothers originally wasn’t going to change anything regarding their movies in production right now. Less than 24 hours later, that’s now changed. There were rumors all morning that extras were being notified that The Batman production was shutting down, and now that’s been confirmed.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed it via Twitter:
Breaking: #TheBatman is suspending production for 2 weeks.— Borys Kit (@Borys_Kit) March 14, 2020
As it’s only two weeks it likely won’t affect the June release date. We’ll just have to see if anything changes in the length of the suspension as this whole situation can change by the minute.
