Adam McKay, who re-wrote the original Ant-Man with Paul Rudd, has said that Marvel is developing a Nova movie. To promote his new movie Vice, McKay appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and talked a little about Marvel and what they’re working on.
At the 39:40 minute mark of the podcast he begins talking about Marvel and gives some cool information about the re-write on Ant-Man and how he came up with the idea of Scott fighting one of the Avengers, and that they have “talked a little bit” about Guardians 3, but when asked about what character he’d like to do he brings up Nova and says:
“I think they are kicking around a Nova idea.”
He goes on to say that he’d also love to do Silver Surfer, saying he’d want to do something similar to the Wachowski’s Speed Racer, and it sounds like he has a pretty cool idea for Norin Radd on the big screen. But the big part of the interview is that Nova bit, that seems to confirm the rumors from earlier in the summer that Marvel was considering the character for a future MCU appearance.
