RUMOR: Katherine Langford’s Role in Avengers 4

Note: The following is just a RUMOR. It’s in no way confirmed and won’t be until the movie is released as the role is top secret and a potential spoiler.

There is so much speculation about who Katherine Langford is playing in Avengers 4 things are getting a little out of hand, so I was given the go-ahead from a reliable source to put this out there. People are speculating that she could be anyone from Kate Bishop, The Eternals’ Sersi, Cassie Lang, to Fox-owned characters that Disney cannot use in the fourth Avengers movie. If this rumor is correct, she’s someone not from the comics.

Last week I was told of a rumor that said Kathrine Langford would be playing a descendant of one of the original six Avengers from some twenty years in the future after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. That narrows down the choices of who she could be, meaning those who were thinking she could be Clint Barton’s grown daughter were on to something as the age does line up. But it turns out that’s not who she apparently is.

Today I received another piece of information, and according to the rumor she plays the grown daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts.

It’s not known how big of a role the character plays in the movie, but if this is true it’s probably not a character we’d see much of after Avengers 4 as she would be based in a two-decade future of the MCU. It would also add to the drama and emotional closure for Tony Stark’s ten-year odyssey in the MCU if he sees his grown daughter twenty years in the future and he has to sacrifice that future to bring everyone back to life.

In Avengers: Infinity War, Tony tells Pepper that he had a dream where they had a son named Morgan. But as the Russo Bros. themselves said, dreams can be mysterious and that dream may not match up exactly with whatever future they’re dealing with in Avengers 4 after Thanos wiped out half of the universe.

Once again this is just a rumor, but it makes more sense than so many of the superhero names that people are guessing right now.
