While everyone is focused on the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies such as Captain Marvel and the untitled Avengers 4, there are a lot of movies in the works and it sounds like they have several in planning that takes us through 2024.
In an interview with Birth.Movies.Death, they ask Kevin Feige about revealing the future movies like they did with Phase 3 and again he explains how they haven’t fulfilled the promise of releasing those movies. Then he said:
“Obviously people are aware of Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Guardians 3, which James [Gunn] gets into prep on very soon. Outside of that, we like the idea of having the world do what we’re doing, which is focusing on the immediate future. Once that happens, we will – I don’t know that we’ll do exactly the same kind of thing, that many years out – but there are secret vaulted doors in Marvel Studios that lead to essentially what we’ll be doing between now and 2024.”
He also hinted at what some of those are when asked about work starting on Black Widow:
“We’ve started to, yes, within the last six months or so we’ve started to engage on certain developmental levels on a lot of those things going forward. Which of those will be made, when they’ll be made – the ones that bubble up to the top are the ones people have heard of. But that’s all I’ll say about that.”
Aside from Black Widow, another one of those is obviously The Eternals and there’s also a possibility of a Hawkeye project that doesn’t necessarily feature Clint Barton. As for the rest of the movies that will fill out the time until 2024, we’ll just have to wait and see what those end up being…
