Beam Streaming

After Micrsoft bought Beam last week I decided to check it out, and it’s actually a great streaming service both for viewers and streamers. I think it’s a lot better than Twitch and I intend to be using it a lot. The big thing is interactivity, so the Twitch Plays Pokemon sort of thing is easy to pull off with Beam, but the service also has an experience system where you can level up by watching streams (and streaming as well, which levels you quicker.

I’ll be streaming mostly World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Overwatch until they get an app built for the Xbox One to stream console games without using an external capture device. I added an embed of my channel to sidebar of the site, as Beam makes easily embeddable iFrames for that sort of thing:
